Real Madrid’s efforts in La Liga bore fruit yesterday as they were officially crowned league champions.
With Real Madrid getting a headstart by defeating Cadiz and Barcelona losing all three points to Girona, the Merengues secured victory in La Liga with four games still left to spare.
This comes at an incredibly opportune time for Real Madrid considering they can fully divert their attention to the Champions League semi-final affair against Bayern Munich.
And now according to Miguel Ángel Díaz Real Madrid are set to mark their La Liga victory with a grand celebration at the iconic Cibeles fountain in Madrid on Sunday.
This traditional gathering spot is where the team and their fans have often rejoiced over the years, with players draping a Real Madrid scarf around the statue of the goddess Cibeles.

The report additionally argues that after the public celebrations in Cibeles, the celebrations will carry over to the Santiago Bernabeu on the last matchday of the season, when Real Madrid takes on Real Betis.
Real Madrid will play Real Betis at the end of the month on the 26th of May, which means they will have a chance to seal their celebrations with a memorable victory in front of their home crowd.
With the second leg against Bayern Munich set to be played midweek on Wednesday, Los Blancos would be hoping to secure victory there not to dampen the mood.
One of the protagonists from Real Madrid’s win over Cadiz, Brahim Diaz, highlighted that the team has not lost focus ahead of this crucial game, treating it as another final.
“This is Real Madrid. We always want to win all the titles, and on Wednesday we have another final. We will try until the end because we have to try to win,” he proclaimed.
