It was exactly 13 years ago today that Manchester City spent a then club-record £35m to sign Sergio Agüero from Atlético de Madrid.
The Argentine forward was Roberto Mancini’s third signing that summer alongside Gael Clichy and Stefan Savić.

And it’s fair to say he had a slightly bigger impact at City than those two.
Agüero would go on to spend 10 years at the Etihad, scoring 184 Premier League goals in the process and winning 12 major trophies.
