We’re approaching the end of the transfer window as clubs look to get some late deals done before tomorrow evening’s deadline.

There is often late drama to keep an eye on, so will this year be similar as the likes of Manchester United finally get their act together at the last opportunity?

Here’s a look at eleven players who could be set for late moves and who will be worth watching in the next 24 hours or so…

Edinson Cavani

Linked strongly with Manchester United by BBC Sport, it sounds like this deal is close to going through.

Edinson Cavani is heading to England for face-to-face talks with the Red Devils, according to the BBC, and could be a smart signing on a free transfer.

The Uruguayan still has what it takes to be a prolific scorer at the highest level after a great career at PSG and previously at Napoli.

Declan Rice

A player who has dominated transfer gossip columns for much of the summer, Declan Rice has shone at West Ham and makes sense as a player who could soon be snapped up by a big club.

The Guardian still link Rice with Chelsea, and it seems clear the England international could have a key role to play at Stamford Bridge.

Whether coming in as another centre-back, or offering more protection to the Chelsea defence, Rice could have a big impact in terms of improving the Blues’ dodgy defensive record.

Thomas Partey

Mentioned by the same Guardian report, Thomas Partey could be an alternative to Rice for Chelsea.

The Ghana international is a superb all-rounder in the middle of the park, and could offer more energy in that role than the likes of under-performers Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic.

Partey has also previously been linked with Arsenal by Sky Sports and he’d also be a tremendous signing for the Gunners. Whichever London club wins the race for his signature would surely be gaining a huge advantage in this season’s race for the top four.

Dele Alli

Slightly out of the picture at Tottenham at the start of this season, Dele Alli could be one to watch in the coming hours.

Paris Saint-Germain continue to be linked with the England international by the Telegraph, and it would certainly be intriguing to see if he could revive his career abroad.

Alli looked a world class talent in the making when he was a youngster, and it seems he now needs a change of scene after losing his way at Spurs, with Jose Mourinho perhaps not the ideal manager for him.

Ousmane Dembele

Once one of the most exciting young players in the world, Ousmane Dembele surely needs a move now in order to get his career back on track.

According to Sport, the France international is now open to a move to the Premier League, with Liverpool and Manchester United both in the running to snap him up before tomorrow’s deadline.

Dembele has not lived up to expectations at Barcelona, but still has the talent to shine in a team better suited to his playing style, so it will be interesting to see where he ends up if he does make a move in the next 24 hours.

Daniel James

A player who has fallen out of favour and who would surely find it even harder to play if Dembele joins United, Daniel James’ future remains in some doubt ahead of transfer deadline day.

Football Insider claim Leeds could still be in for the Welsh winger, who could undoubtedly make a fine addition to Marcelo Bielsa’s newly-promoted side.

Leeds will no doubt be aware of what James can do when he plays regularly, as he did at the start of his United career, and the move would surely benefit him too as it seems like a long road for him now to earn back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s trust.

Jorginho

Despite being a key player for Chelsea in the last couple of seasons, Jorginho could be a surprise name on the way out in the coming hours, with Arsenal linked with the Italy international by ESPN.

They claim the Gunners are eyeing Jorginho on loan as an alternative to Lyon star Houssem Aouar, and he certainly seems like a player who’d make a fine fit for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Chelsea, however, will surely think twice about strengthening a major top four rival like this.

Antonio Rudiger

A player whose future has looked in doubt for some time, Antonio Rudiger is no longer featuring regularly for Chelsea and makes sense as an unconvincing performer the club might be keen to offload.

The Athletic link the Germany international with Tottenham, so it could again be a risky couple of deals for the Blues as they potentially strengthen two of their London rivals and two teams who could be major competitors in the race for a top four spot.

Rudiger might not be the best centre-back in the world, but he could be a useful option to give Mourinho more options in his Spurs defence.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

After a summer of big spending, it’s little surprise that Chelsea might now be balancing the books by getting some players off their books, with Callum Hudson-Odoi another whose future is in doubt.

Bayern Munich are being linked with the youngster by the Guardian, with the report noting that he’s been targeted by the Bundesliga giants before.

With Hudson-Odoi not playing regularly for CFC, he’ll surely be tempted to move to a club that clearly rate him highly.

Chris Smalling

This one has dragged on and on, but Chris Smalling may finally get his move to Roma if a recent report from The Athletic is to be believed.

The 30-year-old surely has no future at Old Trafford, but he did pretty well at the Stadio Olimpico on loan last season.

All parties will surely want this permanent move to go through, so it might just require a small compromise from someone in the coming hours.

Shkodran Mustafi

As reported by Lazio Press, Shkodran Mustafi could be nearing a move from Arsenal to Lazio after a difficult time at the Emirates Stadium.

The German defender has never really looked good enough for the Gunners, and with Gabriel Magalhaes coming in this summer, he’d surely do well to move on in order to play more often.

Mustafi could be a better performer in the slower pace of the game in Serie A, and Arsenal fans won’t be too bothered about him leaving if it helps them raise funds for possible late signings of their own.
