AC Milan will take on Cagliari at the Sardegna Arena this afternoon, as kick-off is scheduled for 15:00. In an interview with Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it), Samu Castillejo shared his thoughts on the game.

The Spaniard will replace his compatriot Suso in the starting eleven, as the latter had a nightmare against Sampdoria last time out. Hopefully, he can improve the standard on the right flank, as Milan certainly need it.

“The formation doesn’t matter, what matters is the desire to win, the soul that we have to put on the pitch today,” the winger began.

Castillejo was also asked about Ibrahimovic, who will play from the first minute as well. As was evident against Sampdoria, the Swede doesn’t get enough service and the winger made it clear that this must change.

“Ibra is a player who gives us a lot, we have a very strong player and we have to get the ball into the area,” he continued.

The Rossoneri are currently sitting in 12th place, which certainly isn’t enough. The first half of the season has been very disappointing and time is running out for Pioli’s side to make something out of this campaign.

“We have to think about ourselves, to change this dynamic, this year we have to change the things that haven’t gone well,” he concluded.
