Real Madrid great Iker Casillas is hoping Sergio Ramos will stay.
The current Real Madrid captain's contract comes to an end on June 30 and talks have been at an impasse for some time now.
"Let's hope that for the good of football [that] the two [Real Madrid and Ramos] can come to an agreement to reach a point of harmony, so that everyone can be happy," said Casillas at an event in Avila for the Cruyff Court Fundacion Iker Casillas.
Casillas also highlighted that Ramos is an "extremely valuable" player and "one of the best in the world," although he pointed out that "you also have to know the club's position."
When asked which side would lose out most if an agreement was not reached, Casillas admitted that he would be amongst the losers.
"I lose. I like football, I like Sergio Ramos being at Real Madrid and I would like him to remain there," he added.
"It's a decision between the club and him."
