Today sees Casemiro celebrate his 30th birthday. The Brazilian, who was born on 23 February 1992, is now into his eighth season at Real Madrid, where he has racked up 320 appearances and netted 30 times. He has secured 15 trophies in a madridista shirt: four Champions League crowns, three Club World Cups, a pair of UEFA Super Cups and LaLiga titles apiece, a Copa del Rey and a trio of Spanish Super Cups.

Casemiro checked into the club in the winter of 2013 and initially turned out for Castilla in the second tier. After spending the 2014/15 season at Porto, he returned to Real Madrid to write his name into club folklore. A starter in the finals of the club's last three Champions League trophy triumphs, he got his name in the scoresheet in the showpiece that saw the club clinch its 12th European Cup crown in Cardiff.
