Manchester United extended their winning streak to nine games after defeating Manchester City at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
United fell a goal behind in the 60th minute when Jack Grealish planted his header into the net.
But two goals in four minutes from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford swung the pendulum back in United’s favour.
City pushed for an equaliser but could not find the goal they needed as United held on to victory.
Casemiro has been outstanding since making the £70m move from Real Madrid to United last summer.
He was brilliant once again against the reigning Premier League champions as he helped his side to victory.
Casemiro’s attitude has been a key reason for his success at the start of his United career.
The Brazilian has an unwavering desire to win. He gives it his all whenever he’s on the pitch and will do anything to ensure his side emerge victorious in every game.
Fan footage has emerged from the match against Man City that shows his elite mentality.
In the 89th minute, with United clinging on to a 2-1 victory, Casemiro went down injured and was forced off.
He was not happy at all about that.
Casemiro did not appreciate United’s physio dragging him to the sideline as he smashed his physio’s hand away.
He was then chomping at the bit when waiting for the referee to call him back on.
When he got the signal, the 31-year-old charged back into the box so he could help repel a City attack. View the moment below…
Casemiro’s already a fan-favourite among United fans and it’s easy to see why.
He could go down as a club legend if he keeps his level of performances up.
United return to Premier League action on Thursday evening when they take on Crystal Palace.
Casemiro will be hoping to lead United to 10 victories in a row.
