Undoubtedly, one of the biggest priorities Real Madrid must take care of before it gets too late is extending Casemiro, who remains one of the best midfielders in all of world football.
With his current contract set to expire next summer, selling him at a cut-rate price or letting him go on a free next year is a scenario no Real Madrid supporter wants to see happen.
However, according to journalist Fernando Burgos, that will not be happening.
Speaking to Onda Cero, Burgos has claimed that the 28-year-old and Real Madrid have reportedly agreed to a contract extension.
Though terms are not currently known, there have been recent rumours claiming that Casemiro will receive a significant pay rise and be extended until summer 2023.
Since Real Madrid scooped Casemiro up from São Paulo in 2013, he has featured in an incredible 229 matches for Los Blancos and won 13 total trophies.
