Cesare Casadei thanks ‘everyone who’s been part’ of his journey at Chelsea and wishes the blues’ the success that this club deserves’
The U21 Italy international has returned to Serie A, completing a permanent €13m transfer to Torino.
The Italian midfielder had joined Chelsea from Inter in 2022 and made 17 appearances across all competitions with the Blues.
“I want to thank everyone who’s been part of this journey,” Casadei wrote in one of his latest Instagram stories on Sunday,
“It has been an honour to wear this amazing shirt and to play for this club. Now it’s time for me to move on, I wish you all the success this club deserves.”
A product of Inter’s academy, Casadei has yet to make his Serie A debut.
He was the best player and top goal scorer in the latest U20 World Cup with Italy’s national team, which saw the Azzurrini lose the final against Uruguay.
During his time in England, Casadei also played for Reading and Leicester City on loan.
He returned to Stamford Bridge exactly a year ago when the Blues terminated his loan spell with the Foxes.
Casadei has signed a contract until June 2029 at the Stadio Grande Torino.
The Granata’s next game is against Genoa on February 8.
