Cartagines wasted no time in going after the Jocoro area and were handsomely rewarded with a 1-0 lead in the 11’ when Jocoro GK Oscar Sanchez spilled a shot and Marcel Hernandez was there to clean up the rebound with a goal.

Cartagines doubled their advantage to 2-0 in the 22’ on a goal that was similar to the first. Allen Guevara fired a shot toward goal that was blocked by Sanchez, but again the rebound rolled right to a Cartagines player, this time Jeikel Venegas, who left no doubt with an easy strike into net.

The home side stayed in control as play drifted into the second half, and after a trio of chances that forced saves from Sanchez, the third Cartagines goal arrived in the 58’ when a Guevara shot took a slight deflection and found the back of the net for a 3-0 lead.

Guevara and Venegas would team up again in the 74’ on a goal involving a rebound off a block from Sanchez, this time being a Venegas shot that was initially parried by the Jocoro GK and Guevara turning the loose ball into net to make it 4-0.

The night was capped by a Jostin Daly goal on the final touch of the game, as a shot from distance struck the post and fell right to his feet, allowing him to calmly sweep in for the 5-0 final.
