Carson Pickett is making history tonight as she becomes the first player with a limb difference to be capped by the USA Women’s National Team.
The 28-year-old, who was born without a left forearm and hand, is featuring at left-back for the Stars and Stripes in their friendly against Colombia in Sandy, Utah.
North Carolina Courage star Pickett, who has represented her country at U-17 and U-23 level before, has been a staunch advocate for limb difference awareness.
It is no doubt an incredibly proud night for the South Carolina native.
