Huddersfield Town and Sunderland have seen bids rejected for AFC Wimbledon midfielder Jack Rudoni early on in this window, as per a report from London News Online.
A report from the Northern Echo has revealed that Luton Town are also watching to see how Rudoni’s situation develops over the next few weeks.
Netting 12 times and providing five assists in 41 League One games last time out, the 21-year-old proved to be a bright spark in what was a dim season for the Plough Lane club.
Delivering his opinion on the exciting midfielder’s immediate future, Carlton Palmer told FLW: “As a young player, you’ve got to look at where you’re going to develop as a player and where you’re going to play because he’s playing at the moment.
“And that’s the thing, as a player, you don’t want to move to a club, and not play because if you do that, you stagnate and you go backwards, you’re not progressing.

“So, he’s just got to weigh up the way he plays and which club would suit him better.”
The verdict
As Palmer says, he has played regular football, and whilst that will be harder to achieve a division above, he will want to give himself the best opportunity of doing just that.
There is certainly scope for Rudoni to thrive with all three clubs, with Sunderland looking to bolster competition levels ahead of the new season, Huddersfield on a similar mission to ensure depth, whilst Luton are actively scanning the markets for a left-footed midfielder.
Deserving of a chance in the Championship, it will be interesting to see how Rudoni’s situation develops and whether any other clubs join the race for the exciting midfield operator.
