Due to an injury, Chivas footballer Carlos Cisneros had previously admitted he was on the brink of retirement.

During his pre-match press conference ahead of Chivas’ encounter with Pumas, the 28-year-old admitted he nearly decided to hang up his boots.

When asked if retirement was still in his mind, he said: “No, for me the injury is behind us. At the moment, regarding my level of football, I feel very good.

“I think that in the last couple of tournaments, it is much better now. I feel better both physically and on the football pitch.”

Cisneros came up through the Chivas academy and has appeared 117 times. He has dished out a pair of assists this season.
