Carlos Augusto warns Salernitana will ‘play the game of a lifetime’ under their new coach this evening, but Inter aim to ‘win every match’ in Serie A and the Champions League.
It kicks off at San Siro at 20.00 GMT.

This will be the debut for Salernitana under third coach of the campaign Fabio Liverani, as Pippo Inzaghi was sacked this week after himself taking over from Paulo Sousa.
“We know that when there is a change of coach, teams arrive with a more aggressive approach and try to play the game of a lifetime at San Siro, so we must be ready for that,” Carlos Augusto told Inter TV and Sky Sport Italia.
“We must not change our general approach, regardless of who we are up against, as all games are worth three points.”
The visitors have been transformed in the January transfer window, including the arrival of Jerome Boateng, Kostas Manolas and the presence of former Inter star Antonio Candreva.
“Salernitana have a lot of experienced players, so we must remain concentrated.”
Simone Inzaghi has kept squad rotation to a minimum ahead of the Champions League Round of 16 against Atletico Madrid, as the first leg is at San Siro on Tuesday.
Does that mean that Inter see the Scudetto as their primary target rather than repeating the long European run from last season?
“We have to take it one game at a time, because from here until May we must win every match. We are Inter and our aim is to win, that is the objective.”
