Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti responded to the recent rumors linking him with a move to his former club, Roma, as head coach.
Appearing on Rai Radio 1, Ancelotti addressed the whispers regarding his coaching future—reaffirming his commitment to Real Madrid while leaving the door open to future opportunities.
“Roma? Claudio Ranieri is a friend and is doing very well—so I’m happy for him,” remarked Ancelotti.
“I am obviously very attached to the Giallorossi, where I always have fantastic memories, but there is a big difference between saying and doing. I prefer not to think about my future too much.”
He added, “I’m very happy at Real Madrid and I’m working hard to stay here as long as possible. I still have a two-year contract here, but contracts can be broken or extended.”
Previously, Ancelotti was close to becoming the new Brazilian national team boss before he ultimately extended his contract with Los Blancos until 2026.
