Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is in desperate need of good news, and his chances of producing some against Getafe on Sunday have greatly increased with his frontline set to be much stronger. After their defeat to Liverpool, Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Brahim Diaz were all suffering from muscle discomfort.
All three are set to be fit for their return home to the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday though. Mbappe, Bellingham and Brahim trained as normal on Friday, and all three are expected to start again for the visit of Los Azulones. Rodrygo Goes is likely to be back in the squad, while Lucas Vazquez and Fran Garcia are primed to start on the flanks, which Marca say means a return to midfield for Fede Valverde alongside potentially Luka Modric and Dani Ceballos.
Ancelotti will no doubt be asked to unravel the Getafe defensive structure on Sunday, with Jose Bordalas a familiar and sometimes precarious foe. A win will see them keep pace with Barcelona regardless of what the Catalans do on Saturday against Las Palmas. With morale low, Real Madrid could do with a win mentally too.
