Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti is ready to throw Éder Militão back in from the off in this weekend’s upcoming round of La Liga fixtures.

That’s according to COPE, who provided an insight into the latest developments in Spain’s capital in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Defender Militão is of course fresh off returning from a lengthy spell on the sidelines, with an ACL tear.

After ramping up his recovery efforts over the course of recent weeks, the Brazilian international was afforded his first taste of competitive action since all the way back in August courtesy of an injury-time cameo in Real’s win over Athletic Club on March 31st.

And, just two weeks on, Militão looks set to follow up with his first start in eight months.

As per the aforementioned COPE, Carlo Ancelotti intends to reintroduce the 26-year-old to his backline from the first minute in Los Blancos’ La Liga meeting with Mallorca on Saturday.

This comes with a view to next week’s Champions League quarter-final 2nd leg showdown with Manchester City.

With Aurélien Tchouaméni suspended, Ancelotti is understood to be giving serious consideration to utilising Militão from the off at The Etihad, with Saturday’s trip to Son Moix set to determine the stopper’s readiness for precisely that.
