Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has come under fire in recent months for underutilising some of his young talents. The lack of minutes given to youth prospects Endrick and Arda Güler has been of concern for many fans of Los Blancos.
However, in the last few matches amidst a drop in form for Real Madrid, Ancelotti has begun to rely on Güler as a key member of his squad. Endrick is still going underutilized leading many to believe he will be heading out on loan.
Ancelotti has spoken up on these rumours, clarifying that both these youth stars have an immediate future in his squad as he spoke in his press conference ahead of his side’s match against Atalanta tomorrow night.
As per well-known transfer news source Fabrizio Romano, Ancelotti said “Endrick and Arda Güler will NOT leave Real Madrid. They will stay in January.”
“I have no prejudice against the youngsters. I have used many young players throughout my career.” Ancelotti continued, showing that he is aware of the criticism directed his way.
Many fans will be keeping an eager eye on Real Madrid’s upcoming fixtures in order to see whether the boss will stick to his word and begin to provide more minutes to his two youngest stars.
It would be very unfair for Ancelotti to keep Endrick around at the club in the new year if he only plans to let him warm the bench, so perhaps there are plans in place for the 18-year-old.
