Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has provided an update on the wellbeing of midfield standout Jude Bellingham.
This comes after the England international set alarm bells ringing across the Blancos’ fanbase on Sunday evening.
Real Madrid of course marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Getafe to the Spanish capital for a La Liga clash.
When all was said and done, the day’s hosts emerged comfortable victors, by a scoreline of two goals to nil.
The aforementioned Bellingham for his part played a leading role in as much, netting the game’s opener from the penalty spot, before laying on a perfect assist for Kylian Mbappé.
In turn, it came as a major surprise when, upon Real’s players emerging for the 2nd-half, the 21-year-old was nowhere to be seen.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle, the subject of Bellingham’s wellbeing was therefore quickly put to boss Carlo Ancelotti.
And, in his response, the Italian tactician went on to explain:
“Jude Bellingham? He has a problem in his neck. He will recover in a couple of days.”
