Former Roma player and current Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti was asked to discuss the current state of football including the clash of defensive and offensive football in a recent interview with Corriere dello Sport.
The Italian technician also praised his colleague Roma manager Jose Mourinho.

“Relying on good defense and counter-attacking football is still a very up-to-date way of playing nowadays,” Ancelotti told the newspaper.
“What matters is the way players interpret, adapt and execute the gameplan,” he continued. “It’s like what the greatest of all of us, Mourinho, said: I won many games playing that way.”
