The signing of Brazilian youngster Endrick for Real Madrid was one of the most highly-anticipated moves in recent footballing memory.
Having been agreed all the way back in 2022, many Real Madrid fans have been anxious to see what kind of impact the 18-year-old can have now that he is finally in the Spanish capital.
Despite struggling for minutes in the opening few weeks of the season, a goal in the latter stages of his side’s Champions League clash against Stuttgart shows positive signs that he could be starting to settle in.
Indeed, when Carlo Ancelotti was asked in his pre-Espanyol press conference if Endrick might be given any starts in the near future, he hinted that the youngster may find himself with an increased role in the coming weeks.
As per his press conference, as reported by Diario AS, the Italian manager said ‘He will be a starter in some of Madrid’s upcoming games and many matches in the future.’
He also spoke about some of the attributes the youngster has off the pitch, saying ‘With the quality he has, it is obvious. He is very humble, talks little and works a lot. I like that.’
It looks likely these hints refer to the Brazilian getting his first start before the end of September, so Real Madrid fans can start to get excited about what the youngster may be capable of when he begins to get more minutes on the pitch.
