Carlo Ancelotti has run out of words for Real Madrid’s midfield trio Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

The three stars have been governing the Real Madrid midfield for a number of years now, playing a key role in the club’s success, including their last four Champions League titles.

Their incredible performances, and indeed the consistency of them, have started conversations over just how good these three players are.

Comparisons have been drawn with great midfields from years gone by, such as Barcelona‘s Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets.

And in the meantime, Casemiro, Kroos and Modric continue to record excellent performances, the latest coming in Real Madrid’s 5-0 Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk.

After that win, Ancelotti was asked about how his midfield performed, and he admits he has run out of adjectives as this point.

“I don’t have to speak about these three players that have won all they can win and they continue to be committed,” said the Italian.

“I can only applaud and nothing more.”

That’s how many feel about those three players, who continue to dominate rival midfields across both La Liga and the Champions League.
