Carlo Ancelotti has put end to speculation about him becoming Brazil’s new head coach after extending his stay at Real Madrid.
The 64-year-old has put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him in the Spanish capital until June 2026.
Ancelotti had been heavily linked with the Brazil job in recent months, but it now appears he is set to continue his second stint at the Santiago Bernabéu for at least another two seasons.
The Italian has overseen a hugely successful period in Real’s history, winning two Champions League titles, two Copa del Reys, two Club World Cups and one LaLiga title.
He is well placed to claim another league title this season, with Real ahead of Girona on goal difference at the top of the table heading into the new year.
