Carlo Ancelotti explains why he chose Fede Valverde over Rodrygo

Carlo Ancelotti spoke to Cadena COPE about his team selection before the Champions League final and why he decided to play Fede Valverde ahead of Rodrygo on the right.

“We’re prepared for the difficulties that obviously we are going to have. The squad’s very relaxed. They are used to these kinds of games – the veteran players handle the atmosphere well. I think it’s going to be an intense game early on and we’ve got to be ready for that. Valverde can play in any position because we have to bear in mind that Rodrygo will be taking part in this game or could make the difference. Madrid will fight to the end, we never give up,” Ancelotti said.
