This comes after the Italian tactician provided his take on why his side will ultimately get the job done to put Manchester City to the sword in midweek.

Attentions will now turn swiftly back towards matters on the continent, ahead of Los Blancos’ upcoming trip to England.

The La Liga table-toppers are primed to lock horns with the aforementioned Man City once more on Wednesday night, in the 2nd leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie between the clubs.

With the scoreline locked at three goals apiece owing to a pulsating affair at the Santiago Bernabéu, Pep Guardiola’s troops have been widely labelled as the favourites to advance from the tie.

As alluded to above, though, one individual who remains wholly confident in Real Madrid’s credentials to battle past the reigning Champions League holders, comes in the form of Carlo Ancelotti.

Speaking to the media on the back of his side’s downing of Mallorca, the Italian tactician was drawn on his hopes for Wednesday’s clash.

And Ancelotti went on to highlight his squad’s ‘attitude’ as the leading cause for optimism:
