Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Real Madrid have not considered re-signing Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.

A report from El Chiringuito on Monday evening claimed that Los Blancos were interested in bringing the Ballon d’Or winner back to Santiago Bernabèu before the current window closes.

But Ancelotti has taken to Twitter to insist that was never the case with the capital club needing to “look forward”.

“Cristiano is a Real Madrid legend and he has all my love and respect. I have never considered signing him. We look forward.”

Ronaldo is reported to be unsettled at current side Juventus and is looking for a move this month.
