Real Madrid reached the final of the Champions League once again yesterday as they beat Bayern Munich in a thrilling contest. As a result, Carlo Ancelotti has crafted another piece of history.

So far in his stint at the club, Ancelotti has reached two Champions League finals and they won it the last time they reached the stage, beating Liverpool. But as per Opta, Ancelotti has now reached the Champions League final six times in his career and that is more than any other manager in history.

Four managers are currently tied at second and that includes Pep Guardiola, Sir Alex Ferguson, Marcello Lippi and Miguel Munoz, who also managed Los Blancos for many years from the 1960s to the 1970s.

On top of that, Ancelotti will have won six Champions League trophies, if Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund in the final and that will be only behind Milan, who themselves have won seven Champions League titles and two came under Ancelotti himself.
