Carlo Ancelotti claims two Real Madrid stars deserve the Ballon d’Or | OneFootball

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti on Thursday moved to lavish praise on two headline members of his squad.

The pair in question? Jude Bellingham, and Vinícius Jr.

Both midfielder Bellingham, and attacker Vinícius, are of course fresh off playing pivotal roles in Real Madrid all but securing the La Liga title.

After welcoming arch rivals Barcelona to Spain’s capital last weekend, the latter notched a goal and an assist, before Bellingham continued to prove himself the man for the big occasion, courtesy of a last-gasp Blancos winner.

As much came amid what have proven nothing short of scintillating campaigns on the part of both, which could yet culminate in a domestic and European double.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, the aforementioned Carlo Ancelotti, in turn, made use of the opportunity to lavish praise on Vinícius and Bellingham alike.

Ahead of his side’s trip to Anoeta to face Real Sociedad on Friday, the Italian was drawn on the race for the Ballon d’Or, and went as far as to state that:

“The Ballon d’Or should go to Bellingham and Vinícius.”
