In an interview that he gave to Il Messagero and that appeared in 20 Minutos, Carlo Ancelotti expressed his desire to retire from coaching following the end of his tenure at Real Madrid.

The Italian revealed that he is ready to walk away from football coaching once his time at Los Blancos is up:

“This period at Madrid will close my career. After Los Blancos, I will retire. Real Madrid is the top of football. It makes sense to put a full-stop to my career after this experience.”

Ancelotti discussed how his coaching style has changed over time:

“Right now I’m focused on coaching, I like the day-to-day work. Until a few years ago, my priorities were tactical, now I focus on human relations, getting to know people and the new generations.”

In a professional coaching career spanning four decades, he highlighted two special experiences:

“If we’re talking about trophies, Los Blancos and Milan are the teams I feel most connected to. The current Madrid team is at a very high level and not just technically. It’s a serious team, with humble players: even the stars have their feet on the ground. Modric, Casemiro and Benzema, the most experienced, manage the group. The quality is unquestionable, but that alone would not be enough. The human aspect of the side is fundamental as well and this Madrid team is unique.”
