Fabio Capello, along with countless other pundits and supporters, have questioned Thiago Motta’s decision not to bring on leading goalscorer Dusan Vlahovic earlier during the 0-0 draw with Club Brugge in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Juventus were held to a 0-0 draw away in Belgium on Tuesday night: The 16th Bianconeri draw of the season in all competitions.
Though he was fit and available, Vlahovic was left on the bench, as it was for the 2-0 win over Milan in Serie A over the weekend, as Nico Gonzalez was given the nod up front instead.

It wasn’t the most productive evening in front of goal for the Argentine, who received criticism for his missed chances. Thiago Motta admitted after full-time that he wanted to see ‘more’ from his forwards.
Still, the decision to bring Vlahovic on with less than 15 minutes of regular time left to play, when Juventus needed a goal, has left fans and pundits slightly bemused.
“(They had) a lot of possession of the ball but then no shots on goal and only one attempt: That was the data in the first half. But they did try to do more in the second half with two chances,” Capello said on Sky, reported via Tuttosport.
When asked why Thiago Motta didn’t bring Vlahovic on earlier, Cappello said: “We didn’t understand it, but it’s a team that doesn’t put many crosses in. He (Thiago Motta) has to find a solution. We’ll see if Kolo Muani can bring a bit more.
