An Africa Cup of Nations which has been full of surprises will round off its quarter-final stage tonight when Cape Verde meet South Africa.
Few predicted the Blue Sharks, ranked 77th in the world and attending only their fourth AFCON, would not only romp through a difficult group but also stand on the brink of a first-ever trip to the final four.
But Bubista's side edged Mauritania in the last-16 to win a Cup of Nations knockout tie for the first time while capturing the hearts of many neutrals.
Next up is a South Africa side which hasn't made the semi-finals since 2000.
Bafana Bafana shocked pre-tournament favourites Morocco on Tuesday and a troop of largely domestic-based players have scored six goals in their last three games without conceding a goal.
Cape Verde vs South Africa is scheduled for an 8pm GMT kick-off tonight, Saturday, February 3, 2024.
The match will take place at Stade Charles Konan Banny in Yamoussoukro.
