MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf U-17 Men’s Qualifiers continued with eight matches on Thursday in the ongoing quest of 35 nations playing for the eight Concacaf berths at the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Canada took sole charge of Group A in the race to seal the top spot and the World Cup participation. Groups B, C, and E feature two teams on level terms as the qualifiers get closer to the concluding matchdays.

Group A

Curaçao 1, Canada 7

Canada earned a 7-nil win against Curaçao to take sole possession of first place in Group A at the National Sports Centre in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda.

Marius Aiyenero opened the scoring in the 27’, winning the ball inside the penalty area to strike with his right and place the Reds in front.

Kevin Khan struck Canada’s second in the 32’ with a right-footed finish on a rebound.

Jerremy Ortela converted from the penalty spot in the 45’+1 to cut the deficit for Curaçao.

Aiyenero struck with his left foot inside the box to earn his brace in the 45’+3. He collected his hat-trick in the 47’ as the Canada offense continued full steam into the second half.

Shola Jimoh penned his name on the scoresheet in the 54’ before Khan secured his brace in the 64’.

Aidan Evans put a bow on the victory in the 88’ with his third goal of the campaign.

Turks and Caicos Islands 0, Bermuda 5

Bermuda won 5-nil against the Turks and Caicos Islands in Group A at the National Sports Centre in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda.

Kalen Brunson was the star for Bermuda with goals in the 7', 27’, and 54', with his second goal coming off a free kick chance.

Bermuda earned two more goals off free kick attempts, with headers from Logan Jimenez in the 74' and Harlem Bean Fox in the 90’+2.

Group B

Sint Maarten 0, Trinidad and Tobago 9

Trinidad and Tobago won 9-nil against Sint Maarten in Group B at Estadio Nacional in San José, Costa Rica.

Josiah Kallicharan continued his scoring form in the 36’, connecting inside the box on a delivery over the top from Adam Pierre.

Sheridan McNish extended the lead in the 43’ after pushing in a rebounded ball off the post.

Kallicharan struck again in the 49’ and 73’ to secure his hat-trick.

The Soca Warriors added five goals in the closing moments through Adam Pierre (85'), Timothy Valentine (86'), Criston Gomez (88'), Caden Trestrail (90'+1) and Nikosi Foncette (90'+6).

Guyana 2, Costa Rica 2

Guyana and Costa Rica drew 2-2 in Group B at Estadio Nacional in San José, Costa Rica.

Los Ticos took the lead in the 1’ on an own goal from Max Robinson caused by an Isaac Badilla pass towards the middle of the penalty area.

Joshua Morris tied the encounter in the 38’ with a header in the box on a corner kick.

Marcus Brown restored the lead for Costa Rica in the 43’ with a free kick goal.

The Golden Jaguars were back on level terms in the 54’ off another corner kick opportunity, this time with a header from Shaquan David.

Group C

Dominica 1, Nicaragua 4

Nicaragua won 4-1 against Dominica in Group C at the Mexican Football Federation headquarters in Toluca, Mexico.

Juban Uriarte converted from the penalty spot in the 39’ to begin the scoring for Nicaragua.

Leandro Padilla struck a rocket from the right side of the penalty area in the 47’ to double the lead for Los Pinoleros.

Ian Parrales delivered the third for Nicaragua in the 54’ with a header off a corner kick.

Darius Gasper cut the deficit for Dominica in the 60’ for the nation’s first goal of the campaign.

Diego Gutiérrez scored in the 67’ to place the exclamation point on the three points.

Barbados 0, Mexico 6

Mexico earned a 6-nil win against Barbados in Group C at the Mexican Football Federation headquarters in Toluca, Mexico.

Viggo Ortiz struck the opening goal for Mexico in the 34’ with a right-footed penalty conversion.

Saulo Tejeda doubled the lead for the hosts in the 40’, connecting on a cross into the box from Daniel Núñez.

Juan Rangel struck inside the six-yard box to make it three for Mexico in the 52’.

Aldo de Nigris struck a brace with finishes inside the six-yard box in the 69’ and 82’, with Máximo Reyes also striking in the goal area in the 73’.

Group E

Antigua and Barbuda 0, Haiti 3

Haiti took a 3-nil victory against Antigua and Barbuda in Group E at Estadio Cementos Progreso in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

Les Grenadiers were lethal from the penalty spot, converting three attempts from the likes of Franco Celestin in the 14' and Emerson Laissé in the 34' and 82'.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 0, Guatemala 5

Guatemala earned a 5-nil over Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in Group E at Estadio Cementos Progreso in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

Andrés García struck again for Los Chapines, opening the scoring in the 14’ after picking his shot inside the box.

Marvin Ávila doubled the lead in the 45’+1 with a collected strike from outside the box. Ávila would secure his brace in the 66’ with a header on a corner kick attempt.

Javier Celis wrote his name on the scoresheet in the 67’ with a hit off the volley at the far post.

Claudio de Oliveira took his chance from long range in the 82’ to earn the fifth for Guatemala.
