MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship continued Saturday as Canada and Mexico earned consecutive victories in Group B at Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

Canada and Mexico sealed their place among the top two in their group, clinching a berth in the Semifinals. With their ticket to the Knockout Stage, the two nations also secured participation in the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

Nicaragua 1, Canada 4

Canada earned a 4-1 win over Nicaragua to obtain a second consecutive victory in its campaign.

The Reds were reduced to ten players in the 10’ after a red card was issued to Inès Nourani.

Canada obtained the opening goal in the 23’ through an Adriana Munguia own goal following a corner kick opportunity where Annabelle Chukwu headed the ball towards the net.

Nicaragua equalized in the 37’ as Jennifer Sarantes converted on a penalty kick opportunity.

Teegan Melenhorst regained the lead for Canada in the 45’+3’ before Chukwu extended the lead in the 45’+8’.

Liana Tarasco added another for the North Americans in the 85’ to seal the victory and keep pace in the race for first place.

Panama 0, Mexico 4

Mexico earned a 4-nil victory against Panama to gain its second win of the 2025 edition.

Deiry Ramírez led the scoring with a brace in the first half, striking in the 2’ and 43’. Alice Soto joined the scoresheet in the 47’ to add to her assist on Ramírez’s second goal.

Montserrat Saldívar added a fourth for Mexico in the 86’ to put a bow on the victory and secure the World Cup qualification for the two North American nations.
