Can someone shut that bloody window

At last! It’s shut, closed, done and dusted. And that’s just what Eddie Howe thinks.
So let’s sit back and ask the one important question.
Are Newcastle United in a better position now than at the start of the summer transfer window?
The answer has got to be a resounding “yes”.
We have competition in goal and the chance to play differently in defence, with Aaron Ramsdale able to play sweeper keeper.
Malick Thiaw is a young athletic player who will assume the role of RCB at some point this season.
Anthony Elanga has pace to burn and crosses the ball well.
Jacob Ramsey is full of energy and offers an extra body in midfield.
Up front, an ailing Callum Wilson has been replaced by 19 goal Yoane Wissa, who is over the moon to be here.
Big Nick Woltemade is an exciting signing who could be amazing for us. He replaces Alexander Isak, who had started to switch off since March.
So yeah, we are in a great position to challenge.
Lewis Miley will be a better player too with more experience.
We have players who want to play for Newcastle United, the fans and the manager.
The one person to have come out of this window with even more credit is Eddie Howe.
He has handled himself supremely well. He answers on the spot questions like a diplomat who has had hours to prepare. He never criticises anyone and is always positive.
We are so lucky to have him at this club.
Over the last 12 months he has grown and developed an incredible amount.
His game planning and management have improved and as Newcastle United fans we can now look forward to an exciting season filled with exciting fixtures with a team full of players who want to be here.
