Milan Futuro took a positive step forward after recent disappointing league results by coming from behind to earn a draw against Campobasso.
The month of November ended well for the Futuro with a 1-0 victory against Torres in the Coppa Italia Serie C, booking a place in the quarter-finals.
However, the dire league form continued with a 3-0 loss to Ignazio Abate’s Ternana on Sunday. Daniele Bonera was honest in his post-match assessments, but points on the board are needed.
The home side took the lead just seven minutes into the game though. Noah Raveyre came out to try claim a cross but his clearance ended up at the feet of the winger, who crossed it to Di Nardo for an easy unmarked finish.
The response from Bonera’s side was exceptional though in truth, and they drew level just after the half-four mark. A low cross from the left by Chaka Traore found the run of Dariusz Stalmach who converted from inside the box.
Traore was the main threat in the opening 45 minutes and in the second half there were chances to win it. The Ivorian hit the crossbar after the goalkeeper failed to claim a cross from Davide Bartesaghi.
Moments after that, Stalmach found Alex Jimenez on the right and the Spaniard curled a shot just wide. The hosts put some pressure on at the death, though in the end the spoils were shared.
Milan have at least gone level with Sestri Levante but remain second-bottom and are four points from safety. They are back in action on Sunday at 12:30 against Gubbio at home.
