Barcelona and Real Madrid have already locked horns thrice this season, with the former winning two games.

The Catalans registered a stunning 1-3 win in the Spanish Super Cup final in Saudi Arabia, and followed that up with a defensive masterclass that led to a 0-1 win at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Copa del Rey semi-finals first-leg.

Madrid have one win to their name, too, outplaying Barça in the league to nail a 3-1 win at the Bernabeu.

The two sides will gear up for their fourth meeting this season next Sunday at the Camp Nou. Barça will have the chance to kill all hopes of Madrid winning the league during that game.

GIVEAWAY: The Camp Nou has already sold out all general tickets for the game, but fans can get the chance to catch a VIP experience of El Clasico through La Liga’s Free Fandom Packs. You can also open Starter Packs here, and take your chance to pull the legendary Xavi moment.

As the biggest stadium in Europe, the Camp Nou has space for 99,354 people. Given its bizarre seating capacity, it has faced a ton of trouble selling out in the last few seasons. Even during the bigger games, like UCL knockouts, or the ones against Valencia, Sevilla, the attendance would cap off at 75,000-85,000.

El Clásico, on the other hand, has always been consistent in its ability to sell out all available tickets at the Camp Nou. This is further boosted by Barcelona’s incredible attendance records this season, averaging nearly 83,000 people per game.

Being at the top of the table helps, of course, but there is a hint of nostalgia attached to this, with Xavi at the helm along with Joan Laporta. Not to forget several exciting players in Robert Lewandowski, Pedri, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong, Raphinha, Ousmane Dembele, Ronald Araujo.

While Barcelona already seem a step and a half ahead of Real Madrid at the moment, a headliner El Clasico with nearly a six-figure attendance can influence games even further.

For one team, it is the chance to cement their position at the top of the table and come an inch away from winning the league for the first time in four years. For the other, it’s a chance to show why they are still the biggest club ever, and the attendance in a stadium cannot change that.
