Everton clashed heads with Fulham at Craven Cottage earlier this evening hoping to pick up a win on the road. The Toffees made a terrific start to the game as Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored in the first minute. However, Bobby Reid equalised just 14 minutes later via a clever finish from close range. Calvert-Lewin struck again for the Merseyside club close to the hour mark after some outstanding build-up play from his teammates. Abdoulaye Doucoure added another goal before half-time when he scored with his header in the 35th minute. Carlo Ancelotti’s men went into the half-time break 3-1 up in the scoreline.

The Cottagers fought tooth and nail in the second half and got a goal back courtesy of Ruben Loftus-Cheek. However, it wasn’t enough in the end as the Toffees secured an entertaining 3-2 win over the London outfit.

GK: Jordan Pickford – 5/10

The Everton keeper’s ball-distribution was quite poor during the 90 minutes. He also could have done better to prevent Fulham’s goal in the first half. However, Pickford was responsible for making some solid saves to help his side secure the win.

CB: Ben Godfrey – 6/10

He was strong in the air and made some important clearances for his side. However, he won’t be happy after conceding two goals today.

CB: Yerry Mina – 6.5/10

The Colombian centre-back was a rock at the back for the away team and did enough work defensively to see out the victory in the second half.

CB: Michael Keane – 7/10

Keane made a few crucial interceptions for his team and was Ancelotti’s best defender on the field today.

RM: Alex Iwobi – 8/10

The ex-Arsenal man excelled playing as a right wing-back as he completed several penetrative dribbles in the first half. He needs to keep up the good work if he wants more game time in the coming weeks.

CM: Abdoulaye Doucoure – 8.5/10

Doucoure made a positive impact at both ends of the field as he won the ball multiple times during the contest and also provided support to the front players quite well during the 90 minutes. He got a deserved goal in the first half to show for his efforts.

CM: Allan – 7/10

The Brazilian worked hard to provide adequate protection to his teammates at the back. However, he struggled to influence the game in the opposition half.

LM: Lucas Digne – 8.5/10

The French full-back picked up two great assists for setting up Doucoure’s header and Calvert-Lewin’s second goal in the first half. It was another encouraging performance from him today.

RW: James Rodriguez – 7.5/10

Rodriguez was a joy to watch in the first 45 minutes as he created quite a few decent openings for others around him. However, he ran out of gas and got subbed in the second half.

ST: Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 9/10

The English striker continued his wonderful form by scoring two poacher’s goals in the first half which gave his side the ideal platform to go on and snatch all three points from Craven Cottage.

LW: Richarlison – 7/10

The Brazilian played an influential role in the lead-up to Calvert-Lewin’s first-minute goal. However, his impact on the game faded, which led to his substitution in the second half.

CM: Tom Davies – 6/10

Davies added some energy to the Everton midfield.

CM: Gylfi Sigurdsson – 5/10

The Icelandic international offered very little after coming on for the final 15 minutes of the contest.
