Callum Hudson-Odoi has disappointed a little in some of his recent starts, so it was brilliant to see him step up and perform tonight. The crows appreciated him too.
As he was taken off for Marcos Alonso, the stadium rose to give him a well earned round of applause for his efforts against Tottenham.
It wasn’t his flashiest game, but perhaps that’s what Thomas Tuchel is asking of him at the moment. He worked hard up and down the left, making sure Malang Sarr was always protected but also running with the ball to threaten Japhet Tanganga.
He also ended the game with an assist after one of his trademark right footed square balls in off the left found Hakim Ziyech, who stepped inside and hit a perfect shot.
We’re sure Thomas Tuchel was impressed too, and if we stick with a back 4, CHO might get yet more chances to play.
