Ferenc Puskas now has a street named after him in Madrid. Real Madrid's Director of Institutional Relations Emilio Butragueño and Amancio Amaro represented the club at the inauguration event, which was also attended by Hungary's Foreign Affairs and Commerce Minister Péter Szijjártó, and Hungarian ambassador in Spain, Katalin Toth.

Calle Ferenc Puskas is located in the El Cañaveral neighbourhood in the Vicálvaro district. The Hungarian legend played at Real Madrid between 1958 and 1967. He made 262 appearances and scored 242 goals, making him the club's sixth all-time leading scorer. His incredible goalscoring feats were crucial to lifting 3 European Cups, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 5 LaLiga titles and 1 Copa. He was also named Pichichi on four occasions.
