Bayern centre-back Matthijs de Ligt will miss the Dutch national team's upcoming internationals in the UEFA Nations League. As the Dutch FA, the KNVB confirmed on Monday, the 23-year-old suffered a calf injury during preparations for the semi-final against Croatia (14 June, 20:45 CEST). FCB teammate Daley Blind has now been called up to replace de Ligt in coach Ronald Koeman's squad.
Bayern's German internationals will play in the 1,000th international match in DFB history on Monday:
