Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon supports the return of Carlo Ancelotti this season.

Ancelotti is back for a second spell in charge of Real, replacing former coach Zinedine Zidane in the summer.

Calderon told TMW: "Ancelotti is a great coach. He knows the philosophy of our club very well and, in addition to being a football teacher, knows how to manage high-level players. In Madrid, not overly authoritarian coaches have triumphed, but rather those who, while demanding a lot in their work, daily, they have not imposed their own criteria above reason and common sense.

"Furthermore, Carlo is a coach who does not seek excessive leadership and this is very important in a great club. He can resist pressure well, an added value when you are in command of a team like Real Madrid, where winning is an obligation and whose fans are very demanding. As for LaLiga, there are still too many games to play before it ends and it is too early to make any predictions, but it is true that today the situation is very favorable as we have already managed to take a good advantage over our rivals."
