Cagliari Sporting Director Carta On Inter’s Nainggolan: “A Deal Maybe At The End Of The Transfer Window” | OneFootball

Cagliari sporting director Pierluigi Carta has confirmed that bringing Inter central midfielder Radja Nainggolan back to the club does not solely depend on them.

Nainggolan spent last season out on loan at the Sardinia based club and they have far from hidden their desire to bring him back to the club.

Inter are said to be standing firm with their demands for the Belgian, formerly of Roma, and it now remains to be seen whether the two clubs can come to an agreement over the player, who is reportedly open to returning to the Rossoblu.

“It will be a deal that can maybe be resolved in the last few days of the transfer market but it does not depend only on us,” Carta explained in an interview with Italian news agency ANSA.

“The team must be supported. We will try to achieve all our goals, but it will be a tough week.”

Nainggolan joined Inter back in the Summer of 2018 in a players plus cash deal from Roma and still has just under two years left to run on his contract with Inter.

Since joining the club he has made 37 appearances, in which he has scored seven goals and provided three assists.
