Entering the final two weeks of the summer transfer window, the future of young Roma attacker Felix Afena-Gyan remains a major question mark.

The 19 year-old made his senior debut last season, capturing the attention of many throughout Europe after scoring a brace against Genoa in late November, securing a win for the Giallorossi. He’d go on to make a total of 22 appearances in the 2021/22 campaign.

Entering this summer, the Ghanaian and his agent, Oliver Arthur, fielded calls from several clubs that were interested in acquiring the attacker on loan, offering him the opportunity to play more consistently.

Both Sassuolo and Salernitana held discussions with the attacker’s representatives, however they never reached an agreement with Roma.

In the meantime, SportItalia journalist Alfredo Pedulla reports Serie B side Cagliari are the latest club keen on landing the youngster before the transfer window closes later this month.

The Sardinians have reportedly made an inquiry for Felix, eager to acquire an attacking reinforcement within the next two weeks to help in their objective of returning to Serie A.
