Having only made a handful of appearances off the bench this season, Roma striker Eldor Shomurodov could be on the move in January during the upcoming winter transfer window.
According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cagliari are interested in reuniting with the attacker after he spent last season at the club on loan. Manager Davide Nicola is an admirer of Shomurodov and considers him an ideal profile to pair with Roberto Piccoli and Leonardo Pavoletti.
Meanwhile, Gianluca Di Marzio reports Empoli are also emerging as a potential suitor for the Uzbek striker. The Tuscans, who already acquired Ola Solbakken from the Giallorossi during the summer, want to further bolster their attack and view Shomurodov as an realistic option.
The 29 year-old has collected 2 goals and 1 assist in 13 total appearances so far this season.
