Brazil World Cup winner Marcos Cafu is confident Daniel Alves will be a success at Barcelona.

The veteran fullback has returned to Barca to the end of the season.

Cafu told UOL: "It's amazing to know that he still has energy, that he has gas to burn and that he is motivated.

"This is the most important, he knows what he wants and he has been to Barcelona, which is not just any club. It really gives him the opportunity to go to the World Cup next year.

"It breaks that whole paradigm that a 38-year-old can't play for a big club. I also played until 38 in Milan. So for him it's fantastic, sensational."
