Play quickly came to a halt as medical attention was provided to the fan.

Cadiz’s goalkeeper, Jeremías Conan Ledesma, rushed to the side of the pitch to retrieve some medical equipment. He then rushed to and then chucked it into the stand.

Ronald Araujo and Marc-Andre ter Stegen were both seen praying for the fan’s health on the pitch.

Players were waiting for around 20 minutes before they were told to leave the pitch and head back to their dressing room.

Per ESPN, the fan eventually recovered their pulse, was stabilised and taken to hospital in an ambulance.

Everyone at GiveMeSport wishes the supporter a full and speedy recovery.

The score was 2-0 to Barcelona before the stoppage.

Frenkie De Jong opened the scoring for the Catalan giants in the 55th minute.

Robert Lewandowski then doubled his side’s lead 10 minutes later.

The Polish striker started the game on the bench and entered the fray just before the hour-mark.

It did not take him long to get on the scoresheet as he tapped home from close range just minutes after being substituted onto the pitch.

The players returned to the pitch roughly 30 minutes after they left the field.

Barcelona would go on to win 4-0.

Ansu Fati scored Barca’s third after some great work from Lewandowski.

Lewandowski ran through on goal after latching on to a through-ball by Ousmane Dembele.

The former Bayern star then unselfishly set up Fati, who had the simplest task of rolling the ball into an empty net.

Dembele then rounded out the scoring in the 92nd minute after his deflected strike found its way past Ledesma in Cadiz’s goal.

Barcelona have now jumped to the top of the table after picking up 13 points from their opening five games.
