With the summer break now over, the Borussia Dortmund players returned to work on Monday. BVB kicked off their preparations for the 2022/23 campaign with the first part of the performance diagnostics tests.

44 days after their final Bundesliga match against Hertha BSC, the first players returned to the Dortmund-Brackel training ground. The internationals, who were in action until mid-June and are still on holiday, and the injured players were absent as 18 players commenced the medical examinations that preceded the athletics tests at the Institute for Sport and Sports Science at TU Dortmund. The tests determine the players' performance levels, among other things.

The second part of the performance diagnostics will follow in Brackel on Tuesday, before the players take to the pitch for the first time on Wednesday.
