Borussia Dortmund’s Ansgar Knauff is making his move to Eintracht Frankurt permanent after the clubs agreed terms for the player on Friday.
Knauff had been on loan at Frankfurt for the last 18 months, having joined the club in the January 2022 transfer window. In that time, he has made 52 appearances for the club, scoring four goals.
The 21-year-old played a total of nine games for Dortmund prior to this, making his debut in 2021 after spending five years prior in their academy system.
Speaking on the transfer, BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl said: “Ansgar went through our youth academy and was able to take his first steps in professional football with us.”
“The loan paid off for him, he has gained a lot of match practice and has developed well. We thank Ansgar for his time at BVB and wish him all the best for the future.”
