Does FC Bayern have to worry more about Harry Kane? The superstar is leaving the England national team early. His participation against Borussia Dortmund could be in danger.

Top goalscorer Harry Kane will return to FC Bayern ahead of schedule from the England national team. He will continue his treatment in Munich. This was confirmed by England coach Gareth Southgate on Saturday evening after his team’s friendly match against Brazil (0:1) at Wembley Stadium in London.

Kane will therefore miss England’s match against Belgium on Tuesday, which will also take place at Wembley.

Southgate had previously stated that the 30-year-old’s participation in the match was „extremely doubtful“.

Kane was substituted in Bayern’s 5-2 Bundesliga win at Darmstadt 98 last Saturday with a capsule injury in his ankle. Nevertheless, he travelled to his national team afterwards.

But now he has made an early return to Munich! He will now continue to work on his comeback in the Bavarian capital.

Will Kane be fit for the game against Dortmund?

It is questionable whether the early return from the national team means that the injury is worse than initially thought. Of course, the early return could also be purely a precautionary measure.

In any case, Bayern will now have to wait and see whether Kane will be fit again in time for the Bundesliga classic against Borussia Dortmund next Saturday (6.30pm).

Coach Thomas Tuchel’s team are reliant on their top scorer. Kane has scored 37 goals in 35 competitive matches for Bayern and assisted a further 12 goals. Kane scored 31 goals in the Bundesliga alone. He is chasing the record of Robert Lewandowski, who scored 41 times in one season.
