Burnley have sacked manager Sean Dyche after 10 years in charge of the club.
The Clarets currently find themselves in 18th place in the Premier League, four points from safety with eight games left of the season.
The club have lost 14 times this campaign, picking up only four wins which leaves them staring at relegation back to the Championship for the first time since 2016.
Dyche had been at Turf Moor since 2012 and led the club to two promotions to the Premier League, he was the league’s longest-serving manager before his dismissal.
Chairman Alan Pace confirmed in a statement to the club’s website: “Firstly, we would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Sean and his staff for their achievements at the Club over the last decade.
“However, results this season have been disappointing and, while this was an incredibly difficult decision, with eight crucial games of the campaign remaining, we feel a change is needed to give the squad the best possible chance of retaining its Premier League status.”
No replacement has been announced at this current moment in time.
